Sr. Software Engineer

AppNexus is an internet technology company that enables and optimizes the real-time sale and purchase of digital advertising. Their powerful, real-time decision platform supports core products that enable publishers to maximize yield; and marketers and agencies to harness data and machine learning to deliver intelligent and customized campaigns

Working with ReactJs build and maintain components used by AppNexus core application. Responsible for all aspects of development including JSX templates, Moca test, and CSS/LESS styles. Contributed over 50 core components to a shared library.

Contributed to AppNexus open-source ReactJs library Lucid-IU. Built many of the core components include the Grid Table, CSS/LESS variables, core animations.

Using EmberJs worked on a project to allow traders of the application to view their information and make changes to speed up user's workflow.

Lead a team, the design architects whose responsibility was to develop deploy and maintain all HTML, CSS components within the application.

Team was made up of 5 engineers

Senior Front End Developer

Starwood Hotels has over 1000 properties in over 100 countries. Starwood Hotels has nine different brands under its umbrella including Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, W Hotels, and Four Points. Since joining Starwood in 2006 the branded websites revenue has grown from just over 1 billion dollars to well over 2 billion dollars in 2009. Starwood's brands each have their own branded website that represents each brand's values. All the branded website share a central reservations system. Starwood being a global company has its branded website translated into seven different languages. In the spring of 2009 Starwood entered into a partnership with Accenture where Starwood would move the development of the websites to Accenture. It was at this time my job was moved from Starwood to Accenture. I have remained in the same role but taking on much more responsibilities working with the offshore team.

• Fourpoints.com Redesign – Lead the redesign of the fourpoints.com site.
• Enhancement Manager - Manage 10 to 12 enhancements per release
• Stregis.com Redesign – Lead the redesign of the stregis.com site.
• Property page rewrite – Converted common JSP for all property pages on all of Starwood’s sites. This change allows for future development time to be cut in half. Since all brands are working off same base CSS file the display of each page in the brand skin is more constant.
• Sheraton.com Redesign – Sheraton.com averages over 1 million dollars a day in reservations. The redesign updated the branding of the site and had to launch at the same time as
• Property Page Optimization - Convert to new CMS system to better inform users about details of properties
• Booking Path Migration - revised the booking path for all brands within the Starwood family to use a new booking flow. Rewrote all markup and CSS.
• W Hotels Redesign - Lead developer on for branded website redesign.
